Primary 1 hosted our first Parents as Partners event. They shared helpful hints to support their learning and told everyone all about Meta skills.

Parents as Partners
We are looking forward to welcoming our P.1 parents to our very first Parents as Partners event on Thursday 1st October.
The format will be a short presentation/assembly by the children at 2.00 p.m. followed by an interactive activity then time to chat and catch up over juice and biscuit.
The Primary 1 event will be based around Successful Learning in P.1 and you should enter the building via the main front door.
Target Setting Together
Primary 7 spent the afternoon with their Primary 1 buddies helping them fill out their Learning Logs.
Learning is Fun
Primary 1b have been working hard on developing their fine motor skills and their knowledge of sounds and numbers. They have settled in well to the routines of school.
Exploring New Things
What a fantastic week Primary 1a have had! The children have been absolute superstars and their teacher is delighted with the effort, independence and enthusiasm they’ve shown.
They have explored numbers 9 and 10 with our new friends Nina Nine and Tina Ten, and learned two new sounds: n and p. Their weather topic is growing beautifully and the class enjoyed their first outdoor learning day, using loose parts to build numbers and letters, and using their brilliant focusing and investigating skills to discover creatures in our forest area.
Primary 1 Transition
This afternoon, some of our current Primary 1 pupils delivered an assembly to next year’s Primary 1 parents about how their year has been so far and the great fun they have in class. Well done everyone ⭐
Construction and Creativity
Primary 1B have been enjoying exploring our new construction materials, using them to enhance and support their learning in fun and creative ways. Activities like this help us to develop important meta skills like problem-solving, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.
STEM
Primary 1a are excellent engineers.
Drag and Drop Games
Primary 1 were learning to use the mouse and tracker pad on the laptop today. They were mastering the skill of dragging and dropping through playing a variety of Maths games.
Celebrating Success and Achievments
This great boy went to see the Harlem Globetrotters and met some of their very tall players who signed his ball.
Well done for having the concentration to finish the loom band project. This great boy is also aiming to read 100 books this year and is already on book 25!
Well done to this boy for continuing to do well at your football and win trophies.
Well done to this great girl for winning her trophy for her step kick which she showed everyone at assembly. Well done!
Since her enjoying a trial session in St Michael’s, this girl continues to do great things in Judo. She showed us her new red belt. Well done. 👍
At assembly, all loved looking at this very special rock crystal that this great boy got from his visit to the science centre.
