ENTRY

The Infant and Senior gates will be opened by staff at 8.50 a.m.  Pupils can enter by either gate and make their way to the appropriate yard, where they will be supervised by school staff.

Should your child arrive late for school (after 9.00 a.m.) please ensure they enter via the main school entrance.

At St. Michael’s we run a supervised breakfast service every morning. Breakfast can be purchased between 8.15 a.m. and 8.45 a.m. and includes cereal, toast, fruit and milk/water. The cost is £1.10 per pupil per day.

Where there is more than one child from the same family attending the second child will cost 50p and third child will cost 35p. Those in receipt of free school meals do not pay for Breakfast Club. All P.1 – 5 children are entitled to Universal Free School Meals, including our Breakfast Club. Anyone attending must have breakfast. Children are dismissed into the playground at 8.45 a.m.

Booking for this service is not required.

Primary 1 – 4    12.00 pm – 12.45 pm

Primary 5- 7   12.30 pm  – 1.15 pm

END OF DAY

The arrangements for dismissal at 3.00 p.m. are as follows:-

Basketball Court – Primary 1A, Primary 1B, Primary 2 and Primary 3/2

Infant Gate – Primary 3 and Primary 4

Senior Gate – Primary 5, Primary 6/5, Primary 7/6 and Primary 7

Older pupils may enter/exit via the infant gate or basketball court gate with younger siblings should it be required.

Please be aware that no dogs are allowed in any of our playgrounds or the new play park area.

Attendance and Latecoming

Please ensure that your child attends school daily and arrives on time to enter the appropriate gate. Absence and late coming has an impact on their learning and disturbs the teaching and learning of their class. Also, in arriving late it may be after the dinner orders are submitted for the day resulting in a restricted choice for lunch.
