St. Michael’s Nursery is a non-denominational Nursery Class within St. Michael’s Primary School.  We welcome children of all faiths, religions and beliefs.  We promote an ethos of multiculturalism and non-discrimination which encourages children to value themselves and others.

We aim to provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment where children will develop physically, emotionally, intellectually, creatively and socially in order to achieve their potential.  We provide well planned, structured activities and encourage parents to be involved in their child’s learning.

At present we are licenced by the Care Inspectorate to have up to 40 children at any one time. We currently have 31 children Term Time (9am – 3pm) and 9 children attending for both AM and PM sessions. We operate a Key Worker system where each member of staff has particular responsibility for a group of children.  The Key Worker is responsible for reporting back to the parents of the group on their child’s progress and development.  This is done through informal discussions, Online Learning Journals, Parents Meetings and end of term reports.
