Today learned about the colour of vestments the priest wears throughout the year. They also learned about the names for parts of the church. When we go to first Friday Mass tomorrow, they will look to see what colour of chasuble Fr Emmanuel is wearing and see if they can identify the part of the church.
We also began looking at measuring the mass of item and explored the weight of objects using non standard units.
Today, Primary 2 we explored our school to investigate the different types of trees we could identify in our school grounds. They gathered a variety of leaves, grouped them then used a leaf identification sheet to decide what trees we have in our school.
They also worked hard on retelling the first part of the story Katie Morag Delivers the Mail. They have been working hard to make sure they include ‘who, where, when and what happened’ in their recounts.
Primary 3/2 are working hard in class and enjoying the outdoors.
Primary 2 explored measuring the area of different shapes using a variety of non standard units. They also worked hard to make sure our school grounds were tidy during our outdoor learning by picking up children’s litter items from the play park and our large grass area.
Well done to all of the Primary 2 children who put in so much time and effort to their personal projects. We have enjoyed listening to all of the wonderful facts on different things that can fly.

Primary 2 have been working very hard on their phoneme knowledge.
Primary 2 have been learning how to find ‘a quarter of’ a quantity.
Primary 3/2 enjoyed they lovely weather and looked for signs of Spring in our school grounds.
