Primary 1 were learning to use the mouse and tracker pad on the laptop today. They were mastering the skill of dragging and dropping through playing a variety of Maths games.

This great boy went to see the Harlem Globetrotters and met some of their very tall players who signed his ball.
Well done for having the concentration to finish the loom band project. This great boy is also aiming to read 100 books this year and is already on book 25!

Primary 1 explored creating code for a specific journey using Beebot. At they created their code, the children adapted this if they came across any difficulties.
Programmable Toys
Our Primary 1 children have been learning to use programmable toy to code information to make the toys move.
Coding
Primary 1b have been learning to follow simple code and make predictions about BeeBot’s final position. They also had the opportunity to discover how Indi Car works and created a simple path for it follow.
qu Phoneme
This week Primary 1B have been focusing on the q(u) sound. They have had lots of fun exploring this through making a crown for the queen and writing with quills.
Make Do
Primary 1A and B are exploring different materials and our make do kits in the eco garden.
STEM and People Who Help Us
Primary1a learned about electricity and electricians as part of their STEM and People Who Help Us topic. They learned how to stay safe, sorted toys into electric and manual, and had great fun with our new dancing robot!
Primary 1 and 2 Party
Santa visited our P1&2 Christmas party today. The children were all very excited to see him and I’m pleased to report that they’re all on his ‘good list’. 🎅🏻🥰
