Nursery Nativity
This Wednesday, 14th December, our Nursery children will be performing the Nativity of Whoops a Daisy Angel. The children have been working hard to learn their lines and songs. for some of our children, this will be their first performance in front of an audience.
Please contact the Nursery for ticket allocation. Tickets cost £3 and should be paid for in full before Wednesday. Entry is by ticket only. Doors will open at 1.15 pm and the performance will begin at 1.30 pm. Please enter by the main school entrance.
Nursery Applications
Will your child be 3 before 1 March 2018? If so, you should apply for a nursery place by Friday 16 December 2016.
The funding dates for 2017/18 are as follows:
- Children who reach 3 years of age between 1 March and 16 August 2017: the start date will be 17 August 2017
- Children reaching 3 years between 17 August 2017 and 28 February 2018: the start date is the day after the child’s 3rd birthday

Offer of nursery place letters will be posted to parents/carers on Friday 10 March 2017.
Yoga and Meditation
Our Nursery children have been participating in Yoga and Meditation for the past six weeks. They have been enhancing their health and wellbeing through balance, stretching and breathing exercises. Well done to all of our children!

Nursery Newsletter
Nursery – Grounds for Learning
A group of children along with a parent/grandparent recently attended a 4 week course in the forest to have fun together. Activities included climbing trees, swinging on rope swings, a bug hunt and exploring the mud kitchen. All enjoyed making toast and toasting marshmallows over the fire. Well done!
Princess and the Wizard
Thank you to all who came yesterday to our Halloween Parade for our Nursery and Primary 1 – 3 children. The children enjoyed retelling the story of the Princess and the Wizard by Julia Donaldson. and entertaining everyone with a few of the favourite Halloween songs.
They all looked spooktacular in their fabulous costumes!
Transition Day for Nursery Children
Today, Richard Harris, our Active Schools Co-ordinator come to the school to deliver today’s Transition session. The children took part some games and activities with other children who are going to be in Primary 1 in August.
