Barnardos Coffee Morning

As you will be aware we are fortunate to have  a partnership with staff from Barnardos.

The staff from Barnardos have a Coffee Morning in the school every Wednesday from 9 a.m. till 10.30 a.m.  Pre-school children are welcome to attend.  All Parents and Carers are welcome to come in and have a blether after the busy school run.

The Barnardos staff also have a Stay and Play Session  on a Friday morning between 9 a.m and 10.30 a.m.   The toddler group is open to all under 3’s and their parents and carers.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at either or both of these sessions.

Many thanks

Mrs. Karen Greechan

Primary 1a have been busy this week!  They have been learning how to capture images using the I-pads then change the image using an app called Doodle Buddy.

They have also enjoyed learning about 2d Shapes and using them to create pictures.

They have created spooky skeleton pictures after hearing the story Funny Bones!  Their skeletons were excellent and they and lots of fun!

Halloween Parade

Today is our Annual Halloween Parade which will begin at 1.15pm in the school hall.  Our theme will be based on the book ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson.  Our Nursery Class and Primaries 1-3 will each perform on stage as the story is being read with a few more surprises.  Our morning nursery children are invited to return in the afternoon for the performance.

Children are permitted to go home to change at 12pm if picked up by their parent, alternatively they may bring their clothes in and will be assisted in getting changed after lunch.

We will be holding a raffle during the performance and any donations of raffle prizes would be appreciated.

Doors will open at 1.10pm (to allow the hall to be cleared).  Families are welcome however, we are unable due to health and safety, to accommodate buggies in the entrance, Primary 7 pupils will be available to take your buggy from you and put them in the project hall until after the performance.

We look forward to seeing you.
