A Busy Day in Primary 3/2

They also used ‘real life’ maths when they made apple crumble using the apples from the school orchard. They used their knowledge of measure, time, multiplication, division and estimation.

St Michael’s Feast Day
St. Michael’s Feast Day Mass
We are delighted that this year we will celebrate St. Michael’s Feast Day Mass at Carfin Grotto on 27th September. This is to coincide with the Anniversary of 100 years of Catholic Education.
We will depart from school at approximately 10am, this will allow time for the children to enjoy the grounds at Carfin for Holy Mass and for all to enjoy a picnic lunch.
We are sure this will be a great celebration and we are grateful to Father Michael for his organisation.
Please provide your child with a packed lunch on this day unless your child is in P1-3 or in P4-7 and receives a free school meal.
School Photographs
School Photographs
The photographers will be in the school on Monday 8th October 2018.
All children in School and Nursery will have individual photographs taken this year.
You may request a family portrait to be taken, however, this will only be done if you select the option below. If you do not select this option by Friday 5th October then we will assume that you do not require a family photograph to be taken.
If you have a child who does not attend St. Michael’s School or Nursery you may bring them into the school between 8.30 a.m. and 9 a.m. to have a family picture taken before the older children begin their school day. Children who attend the nursery in the afternoon will also have an opportunity to have their photographs taken from 1 p.m.
Children wearing glasses are asked to move them further down their nose than normal to prevent the flash showing in the photograph. Should you decide that you would prefer them to remove their glasses please tell your child to do so on the day.
Yours sincerely
Mrs. Karen Greechan
