We were delighted to welcome Iain and Sam from Guide Dogs Scotland to St Lucy’s, along with two wonderful guide dogs, George and Bob. The visit gave pupils a chance to learn about the incredible work guide dogs do to support people with sight loss and the training involved in preparing them for their future roles.
As a school named after St Lucy, the patron saint of the blind, this visit held particular meaning for our community. To show our support, St Lucy’s made a £100 donation to the Guide Dogs charity. Well done to P5/6 and P6 for their generous donation. A big thank you to our visitors—and to George and Bob—for an inspiring and memorable day!
