Catholic Education Week

Catholic Education Week begins week beginning 17th November 2025.

The theme for this year is Pilgrims Of Hope.

As a whole school we have the following event planned:

Tuesday 18th November – A Little Pilgrim

We will begin our Catholic Education Week with a pilgrim (walk) from St Lucy’s School to St Lucy’s Church to Celebrate Mass together. This is to give our children an understanding and feeling of what being a Pilgrim means (making a journey to a Holy place)

Parents, carers and parishioners will meet us in the infant yard for 9.15am on the 18th and make the pilgrim up to the church with us.

Lost Clothing

We would like to remind Parents/Carers to ensure names are on all items of clothing belonging to your child/children. This makes it easier to find misplaced items.

Thank you.

Congratulations Mrs Straub!

A massive congratulations to Mrs Straub who was successfully appointed as our permanent head teacher this week. We are delighted to have her in this permanent post and we are excited for the next part of our St Lucy’s journey with her.

Halloween Disco

This year the Halloween Disco organised by our wonderful Parent Council will take place during the school day on Friday 31t October 2025 (please note a change in date/time).
Children may come to school dressed in a costume of their choice. We would appreciate your cooperation that all costumes, masks and accessories are suitable for school/nursery and are not too ‘scary’.
There is a suggested donation of £1 and children will receive a ‘Spooky Sweetie Cone’. Classes will be allocated time slots in the hall where they can dance the day away.  All proceeds will go to our Parent Council Fund.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Mrs Straub
