Mrs Byers and Mrs Murtagh have been calling all of the parents of children due to start Primary 1 in August. They have set up a Teams page and invited the children who have GLOW usernames to join. They will be posting lots of information on that page. They are in the process of emailing those who do not have access to Teams. Please make sure you keep an eye on our Facebook page for general school information and download our App. You can message the school Facebook page with any queries.

Primary 7, we really need your help! We are still waiting for some of you to complete your Friendship Forms for Cardinal Newman. Mrs Murray and Miss Morrison need them to start to organise your classes for next year. Please follow this link, and complete these by the end of the day tomorrow (5th June). You will need your Glow login details for this. Please contact Miss Agnew either through social media, or by emailing her on gw09agnewlouise01@glow.sch.uk.

We also desperately need your yearbook information! The P7 teachers want to start putting the yearbook together, and we’re running out of time. Please click on the link below for the information that we need, which should be emailed to your teacher, or placed in an envelope addressed to Mr Thomas and handed in to the office. Again, we need all the information by the end of the day tomorrow (5th June). If we don’t have this information, then you won’t have a personal section in the final yearbook.

Our May Newsletter has been prepared to give you some up-to-date information about what is happening regarding Digital Learning/Home Learning and other items of interest.  There is no official detail from the Scottish Government or North Lanarkshire regarding the re-opening of school.  As soon as we know, you will know!

Please pay particular attention to the information on collecting Learning Packs from school on Thursday 28th May from outside the school.

Staff will be there to distribute packs during the following times:

12noon – 2pm

4pm – 6pm

Over the next week or so, all class teachers will be organising online virtual chats with their classes. This will be done through Teams. Each teacher will organise a time and post a link to the chat on their Class Team. The children will be able to see and hear their teacher, and can chat to them. Children can access Teams through GLOW or by downloading the app to your device.
