At St John Paul II Primary School, P7 children automatically transfer to our local high school, Cardinal Newman High School in Bellshill. Cardinal Newman has a fantastic reputation for providing an excellent standard of education.

Throughout their final year in Primary School, all P7 pupils take part in the following transition programme:

A series of lessons with a transition teacher from Cardinal Newman
A series of lessons based on a curricular area (which changes from year to year)
A trip to Kilbowie Outdoor Centre in Oban with one of the other P7 classes from our cluster of schools
2 day induction visit to Cardinal Newman High School
