Week beginning 16th September

Week beginning 16th September 2024

Our boys and girls have had another fabulous week in St Bart’s. They are indeed a credit to themselves, the school and their parents and carers.

Our Primary 7 children received their brand new P7 ties. They look so smart!

Again, can I ask all parents not to enter the playground when children are present? Thank you in advance for your support with this important request. Some concerns have been raised about the use of the staff car park by parents and children. This is a hazard and we would respectfully ask that this stops for the health and safety of all. Thank you in advance for your support with such an important matter.

Kind regards,

Deirdre Bolland

Week beginning 2nd September 2024

Our boys and girls have had another brilliant week back at school and I am sure that this will continue for the foreseeable future.

Thank you again for supporting our uniform policy, it really makes such a difference

Again, it is wonderful to see our youngest pupils so well supported in the mornings, especially in the first few days of starting school, however, can I ask that all parents not to enter the playground in the mornings please. Thank you in advance for your support with this important request.

Thank you to our parents from primary 1-3 who attended ’Stay and Read’ sessions’. This is a great opportunity to read with your child and it really does make such a difference to progress and confidence. These sessions also allow parents and carers to see some of the wonderful work that our very committed teachers carry out on a daily basis.

Please could I ask that you contribute to walking our children to and from Church on a Wednesday morning for mass? The schedule for the year ahead has been posted on whole school Dojo pages to allow for plenty of notice to schedules. Thank you so much in advance for your support with this, it is much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Mrs Bolland

Weekly Mass Visits

As you will know we attend weekly mass at St Bartholomew’s Church on Wednesday each week (out with special dates and events within the church). This is a great experience and opportunity for the children linking in with our Parish community and developing their faith.

We would also like to thank our parent helpers who assist regularly with our walks to Church and would like to extent this offer to our new parents joining our school community.

I have attached a list of the upcoming dates and classes attending mass for the year ahead, along with any additional parish events we will be attending.

We would greatly appreciate and love for as many as you as possible to join us in walking down and attending the mass service each week.

If you are available for any of the mass times listed (even if it is not a day where your child is in the class attending) we would love for you to join us and if you could please let us know the week beginning either via a call to the office or a dojo message to the class teacher that would be great.

Many thanks.
