We had a visitor from SCIAF who shared lots of information about the charity.
Frances told us all about the wee box that we can’t use to gather up some money to help the charity, The money will be used to help the people of Ethiopia to have clean water by helping them to drill new wells in the villages in the countryside. Frances took part in a question and answer session and shared lots of information with us. We will continue to support SCIAF dusting lent by raising money and prayer.

We lit our own fires and made bread today. We even used wild garlic!

Again, it was another very week in St Barts. Our pupils especially loved assembly on Wednesday when we announced winners, runners up and participants of our bird competition. Photographs are on the blog. Children were delighted with their prizes and certificates and produced such creative pieces – photographs are above.. As always, thank you so much for your support. We were also delighted to see parents and carers in school for World Book Day, sharing in children’s learning. Thank you.

Please try to celebrate mass during Lent and keep up to date with the times of mass at St Bartholomew’s Church. Our school consistently raise money for charities during this period and we appreciate your support, as always. Thank you in advance. The week ahead looks like this:

To celebrate World Book Day our parents and carers joined us for family stay and read sessions in the school and nursery.

All children were given a design challenge. They were asked to make a model of a bird as part of the whole school work on birds and as a homework challenge.

Well done to all those who took part. Your models are amazing.

Each class had a winner and two runners up. They received a certificate a sweet treat and the winner was given a book all about birds.
