Improvement Priority 1:
Learners will demonstrate increased attainment in Literacy and Numeracy through a range of targeted supports. |
Improvement Priority 2:
Learners will benefit from wider achievement and employability opportunities, with a clear system for recording this and effective targeting of participation. Learners who have not participated in employability or wider achievement opportunities will be supported to do so. |
Improvement Priority 3:
Attendance, attainment and achievements of vulnerable learners or those with additional support needs will increase through the development of a Learning Zone and Nurture facility to focus on attendance and supporting learners. |
Improvement Priority 4:
Learners will benefit from revised SQA qualifications and development of appropriate assessment and moderation approaches in the light of new BGE benchmarks. |

To secure improvement we will develop the following posts:
Principal Teacher Literacy & Transition:
Focus on effective Literacy intervention to secure improvement, working with learners from S1-3.
Principal Teacher Numeracy & Transition:
Focus on effective Numeracy intervention to secure improvement, working with learners from S1-3.
Principal Teacher Achievement and Participation:
Development of a clear overview of participation in wider achievement activities developed. Targeted intervention for pupils who have not been involved in wider achievement activities. Focus to be S1-3.
Principal Teacher Nurture and Learning:
Development of our new nurture zone to support a range of learners across S1-3.
