Careers Service in Our Lady’s High School

Throughout your time at school, you will have to make some big decisions about your future. Therefore, it is worthwhile that you access as much help and support as possible to ensure that the decisions you make are well informed.

Skills Development Scotland Careers Advisers are available in school to support pupils with career decision making and developing their Career Management Skills.

This means understanding yourself and your strengths. The options open to you and who can help you get there.

Careers Advisers work in close partnership with the Pupil Support Team and the school’s Senior Management Team to provide information, advice and guidance. This includes:

  • P7/S1 – S4: Group work to develop Career Management Skills
  • S3 1-1 option choice guidance interview
  • Senior phase pupils: 1-1 guidance interviews
  • Attendance at parent’s information evenings
  • Post school support is also available.

You can speak to your Pupil Support Teacher if you would like to get a careers interview. And you can use www.myworldofwork.co.uk  for online career information and resources.
