Congratulations to Abbi Wilson S3 who performed in the Christmas pantomime ‘Santa Claus Is Coming to Town’ in the Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow from 25 November to 17 January.

Well done to 30 of our S3 pupils who took part in an interactive presentation delivered by Jen Kemp, Schools Partnership Manager for the Live-N-Learn initiative.

The presentation focussed on the following themes; teamwork, fulfilling potential, positive attitudes, employability and managing your emotions. Jen was a great presenter and kept the pupils motivated and engaged throughout the whole session. |
Congratulations to 6 girls and 6 boys from S3 who participated in the Fire Reach programme organised by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council. The girls are pictured with their Fire Reach group. The pupils completed this programme of work at Coatbridge Community Fire Station and focussed on several key areas including self discipline, basic first-aid, problem solving, communication, leadership and team work.
The pupils involved had a very positive experience and the instructors could not praise them highly enough for their efforts. They achieved a Fire Skills Employability Award at National 4 level and a First Aid Certificate. Our Christmas Party took place for S1 & S2 on the afternoon of Friday 18th December. This was organised by senior pupils from the Leadership class.
Pupils enjoyed a disco and some social dancing on what was a fabulous afternoon. Our S1 & S2 are well and truly into the Christmas spirit! |
We were delighted to welcome some of our senior citizens from our local parishes to join with us for a festive celebration.
Our guests were entertained by members of our ceilidh band, junior choir and S1 nativity group. A fabulous day was had by all. |
Thanks to our kitchen staff for providing a fantastic Christmas lunch. We look forward to welcoming our visitors back again next year.

Our S5 and S6 pupils danced the night away on Monday 21 December at their Christmas Ceilidh.
They enjoyed a disco as well as ceilidh dancing and posed in the photo booth!
Thanks to the senior pupils who helped organise the event, they did a great job!

The Saturday Workshop was a hugely productive day for S5/6 pupils who worked on a range of visual art processes including relief printing using lino and wood, painting portraits, still life and landscape scenes for their SQA portfolio.
The class enjoyed pizza at lunchtime kindly delivered by one of our parents!
On Thursday 26 November our ‘Top of the Bench’ team entered the regional heats of the Royal Society of Chemistry’s competition. This took place at the University of Glasgow and consisted of an interactive quiz between all the competing schools. Our team consisted of Matthew Jaffray (S3), Alexander Moffat (S3), Anna O’Reilly (S2) and Alannah Thomas (S4). |
