Week Beginning 11/5/20

Hello Room 4,

I hope that you had a lovely holiday weekend.

I am really pleased that more and more of you are getting involved in the learning tasks you’ve been set.  Remember that you can email me your work or share it on twitter or our school blog.

This week one of your literacy tasks is to write a letter to me telling me all your news and what you have been up to.  I really miss you all and I am desperate to hear from you.  I cannot wait to read all of your letters and to write back to you all too.

Here are your learning tasks for this week.  Keep up all the great work!

P4-7 Learning Area- Update

Hello Room 4,

As you can see our P 4-7 Learning Area has been updated and looks a little different.  Posts have been organised into a table with two columns.

The first column is called ‘General Learning’.  This is where you will find lots suggestions for learning across different subjects suitable for all learners in our class.  These will be added to and updated as appropriate and will always be visible and accessible.

The second column is called ‘Updates’ and is where your will find regular posts regarding specific tasks for your spelling, literacy and numeracy groups.

From now on learning activities will been categorised Independent, With Support, Extra and Family to help make it easier for you and your families know when to help you with your work.

Here is a brief overview categorised activities.

Letter to Room 4

Hello Room 4,

Here are lots of activities, across different subjects, to keep your brains busy and active. It might be a helpful for you to make up your very own timetable using these activities. Try to choose a different subject for each part of the day.  blank-editable-timetable

These activities are only suggestions- if you think of something you’d like to do or learn about then go for it. Remember though, you have worked very hard this year to develop and learn lots of skills in many areas- it is a really good idea to keep practising so that you will remember them when we are all back together at school. There is a saying – ‘If you don’t use it, you lose it!’

Each week I will set you differentiated numeracy and literacy tasks through your Studyladder, Sum Dog and Spelling City accounts.  The focus for maths, spelling, writing and topic work will change periodically.

You can post work to me on twitter and glow or email me.  I would love to see how you are doing and I look forward to reading and commenting on your posts.

Love from,

Miss Richardson
