National History

Unit 1 – Scottish: Era of the Great War, 1900 – 1928

Unit 2 – British: Atlantic Slave Trade, 1770 – 1807

Assignment – Pupils choose a topic which relates to the above areas of study, then create a question which allows them to describe, analyse, debate and evaluate the possible answers and use historical research to support their findings.
Higher History

Unit 1 – British: Britain, 1851 – 1951

Unit 2 – European and World: USA, 1918 – 1968

Unit 3 – Scottish: Wars of Independence, 1249 – 1328

Where can History take you?
History is seen as a desirable qualification by most universities and many of their courses.
