What do you study in Geography?

National Geography

  • Unit 1 – Physical Environments (Rivers, Limestone, Land Use Conflicts and the Weather)
  • Unit 2 – Human Environments (Population, Urban and Rural)
  • Unit 3 – Global Issues (Climate Change and Health)
  • Assignment – Pupils will choose a topic of interest for a research project. There will be the option of a field trip to Loch Lomond to assist with this.

Higher Geography

  • Unit 1 – Physical Environments (Lithosphere, Hydrosphere, Atmosphere and Biosphere)
  • Unit 2 – Human Environments (Population, Urban and Rural)
  • Unit 3 – Global Issues (Climate Change and Development and Health)
  • Unit 4 – Geographical skills
  • Assignment – Pupils will choose a topic of interest for a research project. There will be the option of a field trip to Glasgow to assist with this.
