Reach works with S4-S6 pupils with an interest in and ability to study a  degree in Dentistry, Law, Medicine or Veterinary Medicine and Surgery. Reach will ensure that you are well prepared for the transition to University. Participants gain an understanding of career pathways, experiences of university learning and teaching, support with every aspect of the application process and advice from staff and students on becoming a dentist, law professional, doctor or vet.  As well as providing a valuable and engaging experience, completing the assessed elements of the Reach programme means that you can benefit from adjusted entry requirements with the Schools of Dentistry, Law, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine at Glasgow.

Reach Programme Updates

S4 online modules will be available for eligible pupils from the 1st March – see details on how to access these below. In addition to the S4 online modules we are running a series of live online talks, for S4 pupils, in the final week of March. Details of when these will take place can be found here

Pupils who complete the online modules will be sent information directly on how to access these talks. These talks are not compulsory but are a great opportunity to learn more about working and studying in the profession they are interested in.

S4 PUPILS

The S4 element of Reach and Access to a Career will take place online and will be ready for pupils from the 1st March. There is no registration process for pupils, instead we are simply asking you to pass on the link below to all interested and eligible pupils.  Pupils will be able to access the modules for the subject they are interested in applying to by clicking below:

S4 online modules

The S4 online module introduces pupils to the Reach and Access to a Career professions and includes information on entry and subject requirements, skills development and career pathways. The module is set out in Microsoft SWAY which is fully accessible and does not require any downloads or registration. It has been designed so that pupils can work through it in their own time and can also be done in stages. Once complete the pupils will be asked to submit a very short statement reflecting on what they have learnt from the modules. At this point they will leave some very basic contact details and we will use this to contact them with more information on the live talks.

S5 PUPIL UPDATE
