Room 11 P4/5 NOVEMBER 2017

Hello  all  :o)

Welcome to our November Blog!

We have had another busy bee month full of clever clogs learning in all our curricular areas.
L & E Writing
We all enjoyed Bonfire Night celebrations so we wrote personal diaries and designed safety leaflets using powerful words and persuasive phrases.

We love our new Taught Writing group names:

You can also see our self, peer and teacher assessment slips which we use in AiFL!

L & E ACTIVE SPELLING

Phoneme charts challenge our knowledge and understanding of the 4 different representations of phoneme ‘ie’ as in pie. We listen to our peer partner say the word then we write the word in the correct column – easy peasy (in a growth mindset way)!

Have you spotted our early bird Elf on the Shelf?

MATHS

Maths Wizard Bailley!

Active group activities like Loop Cards consolidate our understanding and help us with new learning.

HWB: RESPECT ME &

Dionne has our Berryhill WILF Bear; he helps us remember what we should be looking for in a good friend.

During assembly we heard all the class reps talk about Anti-Bullying.

A good friend …

Zoe and Lewis are our ‘Respect Me’ Reps.

We  learned that there are 5 steps to deal with bullying behaviour:

  1. Ignore
  2. Talk friendly
  3. Walk away
  4. Talk firmly
  5. Report

Tiny Teacher Visits
Mrs. Barrowman and baby Stefan popped in this month to see us!  Best visitor ever! We know that babies have the best Growth Mindset!

Welcome to our Tiny Teacher Stefan Barrowman!

Doctor Kayla Teaches us about Diabetes with the help of Rufus the bear.
