Easter School 2021
Dear Parent/Carer,
The school intends to run an Easter School this year to support senior pupils with their course work. This will involve pupils being presented for N5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
This will take place during the first week of the Easter holidays. The school will be open for three days –Â from Tuesday 6th April to Thursday 8th April – hours 9.00am to 1.15pm.
There will be 3 sessions each day – pupils will sign up for subjects week commencing 22/3/21. Pupils will choose their session choices by following the link in their Wellbeing Teams on Glow.
More information will follow once sign up is complete.
S2 into S3 Options
In normal circumstances S2 would be starting the S2 into S3 option process in school. Instead we are sending the information out online via satchel one and teams. I have also attached the powerpoint, option booklet and option form to this post. The powerpoint guides you through the options process.
Pupil support will be calling all our S2s starting the 1st March to discuss options and make note of your choices. They will also speak to parent/carers during the call to consent to the choices your young person has made.
Please watch the powerpoint and read through the options booklet. Pupils can email any questions through satchel one and teams.
Take Care
Mrs Jacobs

Home schooling tips and practical advice
During these challenging times, we at Airdrie Academy are continuing to seek ways to work in partnership with our families. With this in mind, we would like to invite you to follow the link at the bottom of this message to the ‘Action for Children’ website. This contains useful advice and support for many topics such as home schooling, practical activities to promote wellbeing, mindfulness, overcoming loneliness and so much more (over 50 topics in fact). Within the ‘Home schooling tips’ area there is an opportunity for you to have a free and confidential online chat with a member of their parenting staff.
