We ASPIRE to be the best we can be

Learning and Teaching

At Abronhill Primary School and Nursery Class, learning is active, engaging and meaningful. We support children to develop knowledge, skills and confidence through a range of learning experiences across the curriculum.

Our approach to learning and teaching is shaped by our ASPIRE values and the needs of our children and community.

We place a strong emphasis on relationships, wellbeing and inclusion, ensuring children feel safe, supported and ready to learn. Children are supported and challenged to make progress and achieve success over time.

📚 Our approach

Learning at Abronhill includes:

  • play, enquiry and active learning
  • high-quality teaching across all stages
  • opportunities for children to lead aspects of their learning
  • a focus on developing skills for learning, life and work

We are continuing to develop our curriculum and approaches to learning and teaching as part of our ongoing improvement work.
