We woke on the morning of Thursday 2nd January to the horrific news that Steven McIlquham an S4 pupil at the school had been involved in a road traffic incident the night before and had sadly passed away. The entire school community is absolutely devastated to hear of Steven’s death. He was a very popular boy and his sad passing will be a great loss to so many people. He was well liked by both his peers and staff and our thoughts go out to his friends and family. On Monday 6th January we met with all our young people, making them aware through assemblies of the supports available to them during this time of grief. If any parents have concerns we would
Food Bank
A very sincere and massive thank you to the pupils and their families who all contributed to today’s collection for Basics Food Bank. A grand total of 1327 items were collected, which we are sure will help those in our local area who are currently in need. Also, a very big well done to Arran House who collected the most items.

Thanks to everyone who helped raise funds for Guide Dogs Scotland today at our Christmas Guide Dog stall in the library. So far we have raised nearly £200.00 and hope to raise more before Christmas.
