You may or not be aware that 3 pupils from Coltness were standing as Candidates in the Scottish Youth Parliament Elections in the Motherwell Wishaw Constituency: Rhea McGheachie, Jessica Carty and Gemma Gordon. All three girls did outstandingly well and have done themselves, their families and the school proud. It is our pleasure to announce that Gemma Gordon has been successful and therefore elected, along with a pupil from Taylor High School, to be an MSYP for Motherwell & Wishaw.
Pupils, parents and carers are invited to this event on Tuesday 6th February 7 – 9pm. This is a great opportunity to explore different career pathways. The family support service at HOPE for autism are holding a drop in event in Wishaw on Tuesday 7th Nov from 10.30-12.30 in Newmains Community and Conference Centre. This is a place families can come to go get sound autism advice and support. There is other organisations such as Lanarkshire Carers and some staff from the ND service there to speak with families.
