GOOD TEACHING & LEARNING ALERTS We spend time at home doing homework and revising what we have learned. SQA EXAMINATION DIET 2018 This year’s examination diet starts on Monday 30th April 2018. Please read the following information carefully:- SQA Information You have been issued your exam timetable and the personal details held by SQA. Check personal details, subjects and levels and to inform Mrs Anderson immediately of any changes required. Study Leave Candidates who are sitting subjects at National 5 level have permission to be on study leave from Monday 30th April until Friday 1st June (dates inclusive). Candidates who are completing National 3 and 4 courses do not have study leave. They will follow an alternative timetable throughout the examination period and

GOOD TEACHING & LEARNING ALERTS We are all given time to discuss our work with the teacher. 2018 KILTWALK Please support Mrs Taggart in the 2018 Kiltwalk from Glasgow to Loch Lomond. Take part in the “Design a Kilt for Kiltwalk” competition to help raise funds. Entry fee is £1 with the best designs winning a great prize of art materials. Collect entry forms from Mrs Taggart, ML2. Deadline: Friday 27th April. Proceeds go to Teapot Trust which provides Art therapy to chronically sick kids in hospitals in the UK.

British Transplant Games – Youthlink Awards March 2018
At the recent Youthlink awards in Glasgow, two of our senior pupils, Evan Bridges and Jordan Marshall were recognised for their involvement in the #Transplant Stories Project (North Lanarkshire) team which came runners up in the The Digital Youth Work award (Sponsored by Sky Academy) “It was a truly eye-opening experience – one that I will never forget.” That’s what Evan had to say about the #TransplantStories digital team at the 2017 British Transplant Games. This unique partnership between the University of the West of Scotland and North Lanarkshire’s Community Learning and Development youth work team saw 11 young people from schools, employability hubs and Modern Apprenticeships come together to learn new digital skills. Over 12 weeks, the youth work team ran sessions on online

S1 SPONSORED WALK A reminder for S1 pupils to collect their sponsor money for the S1 sponsored walk on the afternoon of Wednesday 28th March. All funds to go towards the PTA and the “WE walk for Water” charity.
