One Parent Families Scotland has been delivering services for parents across North Lanarkshire for over 13 years. Our staff team have been working hard to ensure we can continue to support families with the services that they need during the Coronavirus outbreak, both in terms of practical services and, importantly, in terms of being able to access those services.
Current Service Provision
- Completion of crisis applications supporting parents struggling to meet fuel costs
- Referrals to Foodbanks supporting parents struggling to meet food costs
- Completion of charitable grants for essential new household items (electrical appliances, bedding, etc)
- Support with Universal Credit and benefit applications
- Emotional, Well-being & Peer Support via phone call, text, Facebook, Facetime and WhatsApp
- Up-to-date advice and referrals for access to local services & resources
- Free Phone Lone Parent Helpline 0808 801 0323, webchat and local up to date information and ‘Ask a Question‘ on our website www.opfs.org.uk
