We woke on the morning of Thursday 2nd January to the horrific news that Steven McIlquham an S4 pupil at the school had been involved in a road traffic incident the night before and had sadly passed away.
The entire school community is absolutely devastated to hear of Steven’s death. He was a very popular boy and his sad passing will be a great loss to so many people. He was well liked by both his peers and staff and our thoughts go out to his friends and family.
On Monday 6th January we met with all our young people, making them aware through assemblies of the supports available to them during this time of grief. If any parents have concerns we would ask them as always to make contact in the first instance with PT PS staff within the school.
