S1 CYBERBULLYING EVENT

This will take place on Thursday 26th October in the hall during periods 1 and 2 for all S1 pupils.

PINK FRIDAY FOR BREAST CANCER

Pink Ribbons will be on sale this week with the proceeds going to Breast Cancer Care Scotland. They will cost £1 each.

LANGUAGE PUPIL OF THE MONTH

During the Month of October the focus for winning Pupil of the Month will be Homework. Are you handing your homework in on time? Taking time and care to do your homework properly? Putting in the same effort as your work in class? If you are – it could be you!

SPORTS AMBASSADORS

This year’s Sports Ambassadors have been selected and are ready to start promoting opportunities within the school and community. 12 senior pupils have been selected for this role and recently attended the North Lanarkshire Active Schools Ambassadors conference at Ravenscraig. It was here they met other ambassadors from across NL and worked on sports specific coaching ideas and promotional tools.

The Ambassadors this year are:

  • Rugby – Daniel Bartlett and Reid McLean
  • Netball – Erin Roddie and Tamsin Murray
  • Fitness – Hannah Russell
  • Dance – Emma Ross
  • Athletics – Amy McAdam and Pamela Newell
  • Football – Stacey Peel and Rachael Armit
  • Young Ambassadors – Eve Richardson and Euan Scott

The Ambassadors shall be leading and supporting lunch and after school clubs and preparing
pupils for forthcoming competitions and events.  If any pupils want to find out more about the sports clubs mentioned please see the Ambassadors for more details.

LOCKERS

Lockers are available for all pupils. Cost is £10 hire plus £5.00 deposit (refunded when key is returned). Lockers will be available at the buddy booths:-

  • ARRAN – TUESDAY 24TH OCTOBER
  • LEWIS – WEDNESDAY 25TH OCTOBER
  • SKYE – THURSDAY 26TH OCTOBER
