Clothing Giveaway Saturday 11th June 2016
This event will take place in the Loyola Centre, Campbell Street, Wishaw. It is open to everyone in our community and we have new and used clothing, shoes, bags and accessories available for babies, children and adults. Doors will open on Saturday the 11th June at 11am and close at 2pm.
The SVDP conference here in Wishaw is part of the international catholic organisation of The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, whose mission statement is to “…seek to identify and combat all forms of poverty, by promoting social justice and actively working with those in need…”
During our well-attended community events last year, we identified a need for suitable clothing within the Wishaw population. That is why we have decided to run this event. We have decided to open this event to the wider community of Wishaw and the surrounding towns and villages as we know this need is felt throughout the community.
