All requests for an appeal that have been requested by candidates to the SQA have now been passed on to the school. As the SQA guidelines state, before processing, Mrs Anderson will contact all involved to discuss:
Reminder/confirmation of how the learner’s provisional result was determined.
Reminder/confirmation of the assessment evidence that was used to determine provisional result, including any assessment arrangements that were in place.
Reminder of quality checks undertaken – both locally, and nationally – to make sure the provisional results have been determined fairly, and in line with the national standard.
Reminder that results can go up or down as the result of an appeal.
Any SQA candidate who would like more information must contact Mrs Anderson by Wednesday 18th August.
