Alton Towers Checklist:
- Pupils should arrive at the school no later than 3.45am in order to board assigned coaches
- Coaches will leave at 4am sharp
- It is pupils’ responsibility to check their name is on a bus list when in school
- All monies must be paid in full if this has not already been done
- Please wear casual, comfortable clothing and check the weather forecast – BE PREPARED! It looks as though it will be very warm but also possibly wet. Sunscreen and waterproofs are likely to be required
- We advise to bring a packed breakfast/lunch for the journey. There will be at least one toilet stop at a service station but food can be expensive and queues long. NB No fizzy drinks will be consumed on the bus
- Food can be purchased in the park itself but there are also areas to eat packed lunches.
- It is up to parents/carers how much money pupils have to spend. Food and drink prices are typical of theme parks so more expensive than usual. There are souvenir shops, opportunities to purchase photos taken on rides and other outlets where money would be required if pupils choose to do so. Spending money is the pupils’ responsibility and will not be kept by staff
- Staff will be around the park throughout the day and pupils will be given the school mobile phone number
- The buses will leave the park at 4.30pm and all pupils must be at the meeting point no later than 4.15pm
- There will be at least one toilet stop at a service station on the return journey. Pupils may wish to purchase food.
- We expect all of our pupils to behave well as they are ambassadors for Coltness High School
- We expect buses to be back at the school between 10pm – 11pm – this is very much dependant on traffic
