Coltness High School’s ASDAN pupils’ were given the honour of putting forward a name for a new Guide dog puppy that was born in June 2017. The Guide Dogs for the Blind Chatelherault Cohort of puppy walkers chose the name the group put forward. The new puppy was named ‘Barra’ and she paid the school a visit yesterday with puppy walkers Ann and Margaret who accepted a beautiful blanket on Barra’s behalf. In the past year, school technician Joan Creelman has knitted countless blankets for Guide dog puppies, as have other school staff an pupils over the years. Due to the ASDAN pupils fundraising efforts over the last 5 years, the group has raised over £2500 for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Well done ASDANs!
