A team of S1 and S3 pupils from the Technologies Faculty at Coltness High School recently entered the Rotary Club Technology Tournament 2017 at Kilsyth Academy. The team was supported at the event by their Technical teacher, Mr Marc McDonald.

The S1 team performed incredibly well on the day, however the brilliant S3 design team emerged as overall winners out of the North Lanarkshire Schools.

The winning team are pictured with their beautiful glass winner’s trophy and they will also receive a certificate of achievement to mark the occasion. The boys successfully designed a vehicle which was powered by an electric motor and which was decorated with a suitable, charity-based logo. The winning S3 group chose to promote the British Heart Foundation.
