Following the approval of the Council’s 2016/17 Budget Savings, transactions charges for payments by credit card will now be passed direct to the customer/service user.
If a parent/carer chooses to pay by credit card the transaction charges will be applied at the ‘checkout’ stage of the online transaction.
For example, a parent making a credit card payment of £10 towards a school trip would be required to pay a total of £10.16.
The approved 2016/17 Budget Savings applied only to credit card transactions. As a result, the Council cannot pass transaction charges for payments by debit card onto parents/carers.
