The winner of this year’s poetry competition to celebrate National Poetry Day was Abby Green, 2L2 with her poem entitled ‘Who is this Shining Star of Light’. The theme of this year’s competition was ‘Light’. Abby’s poem together with the poems of the two runners-up, Ellie Marley and Jemma Armstrong are displayed in the library. Abby’s poem has also been sent to the Scottish Poetry Library in Edinburgh.
