The Chatelherault Cohort group of Guide Dog volunteer puppy walkers brought guide dog puppies Albert, Questa and Nesta to meet first year pupils’ at Coltness High School on Tuesday 20th October.
The puppy walkers are frequent visitors to the school and the pupils thoroughly enjoy finding out how the puppies begin their Guide Dog career from the age of 6 weeks to about 13 months while they stay with them. The puppy walkers play an important role in the pups’ development and prepare them for their formal training as guide dogs. They play such an important role in the pups’ development and the young people love to hear about it.
