Friday 18th September

Primary 5 have had another busy week! Today Gary Moore took us outside for an orienteering activity. We had to locate the items in the school grounds and take a selfie of our group with each item..it was great fun!

We have been learning how to write a good summary this week using S-somebody, W-wanted, B-but, S-so, T-then! We watched a short video clip of Red Riding Hood and then used this framework to summarise what happened in the story, writing it in our own words.

In Maths the Circles have been learning what a factor is and working out the factor pairs of numbers.  The Squares and Triangles are using empty number lines to add and subtract numbers.

In our Egyptian topic we are starting to learn about famous landmarks in Egypt.

Also today we have just watched our assembly online and Mrs Robertson was teaching us all about how we are all unique and it is ok to be different.  We need to celebrate these differences and be accepting of people who have different ideas and opinions to our own. We had a really good discussion about this after the assembly! It was our classmate Jacks birthday on Tuesday and although we couldnt sing to him we all said the words instead!!
