Reading – Bugclub

This week in school we shall be carrying out running records for the children and so their book bands/colours may change by the end of this week. So if all goes to plan, the children should all begin to be exposed to brand new, more challenging stories in the near future. Please use bugclub to read books in your current book band and practice your prediction skills, guessing what the book will be about and giving your reasons why. Can you also give your chosen books a new book cover and appropriate title?

We have been covering number work and time in class over the past couple of weeks, so lets continue this at home. I have set a Time related task to be completed by the end of the week as well as a number task.

This is a brand new resource for the school. Use this week to visit the site and just get used to the layout and how to navigate the page. I have set a few phonics and spelling tasks for everyone to give a go. If they are too easy/difficult please let me know as I am also trying to figure out how the website works.
