Rothiemay Parent Council (RPC) is the Parent Council of Rothiemay Primary. Any parent/guardian can volunteer to be a member of the RPC. All meetings can be attended by any parent/guardian and the school sends the information directly to parents prior to the event.
We recognise that parents are the first and foremost educators of their children and know them best. We strive towards promoting parent and school partnership and the Parent Council exists to:
- Support the school in its work with pupils
- Represent the views of parents
- Promote contact between the school, parents, pupils and the local community
- Report annually to the parent forum.
We work closely together to benefit our pupils in many ways. The committee meets regularly and meetings are open to all members. The committee is elected annually and organises fund-raising and social events which help pay for various “extras” for the children. To be effective the committee needs the support of all parents and guardians.
