Admissions Procedure

All early years establishments are non-denominational. All nursery places are allocated in line with the Council’s Admissions Policy and staff will be happy to advise you how this policy operates when you apply for a place for your child. An Admissions Panel meets at        regular intervals throughout the year to allocate nursery places.

Children are entitled to a nursery place in the term following their 3rd birthday. For children born between March & July, their             entitlement commences in the August following their 3rd birthday. Children are entitled to 600 hours of nursery education (pro-rata depending on their birth date).

A new early learning and childcare application form for children starting nursery from August 2020 is now available. If you have already completed an application for your child on the current document and they are eligible to start after August 2020 then you will need to complete the new application form.

Please contact Education Services for the new application form.
