Scran shares its resources with a range of partners – including local authority Community Learning and Development departments, public libraries, third sector organisations, tertiary colleges and community-based organisations – to create lifelong learning opportunities and develop community archive and heritage projects. Scran can host a range of digital outputs from this work, such as digitised photographs and documents as well as oral history collections, enabling previously ‘hidden’ material to be used as an educational resource for schools and for lifelong learning.
Scran also supports subscribing organisations to raise awareness of Scran as a cultural heritage resource. We offer formal and informal training and taster sessions and presentations. These work well if they form part of an existing campaign or special event, such as Local History Week or Adult Learners’ Week. We also exhibit at learning and heritage events at national and local level across Scotland.
If you would like to partner with Scran on a project or find out more about our outreach offer please get in touch.
