I am a Syrian refugee

I am a Syrian refugee

I wonder if life will get better

I hear devastation

I see blood and gore

I want to fast forward

I am a Syrian refugee

I pretend to be brave

I feel horrified

I touch the pain

I worry life will end soon

I cry with devastation

I am a Syrian  refugee

I say  life is a journey

I dream life will only get better

I try and keep my emotions in

I hope for a better life

I am a Syrian refugee

My Syrian refugee poem

I am a Syrian refugee.

I wonder how will it end?

I hear people screaming.

I see dead body’.

I want my family back.

I am a Syrian refugee.

I pretend I’m fine.

I feel pain in my heart.

I touch broken glass on the ground.

I worry it will never end.

I cry because my family are gone.

I am a Syrian refugee

I understand the soldiers are trying their best.

I say nothing.

I dream it ends.

I try to keep in my fear.

I hope my family believe in me.

I am a Syrian refugee:(

A poem about Syria

I am a Syrian refugee

I wonder will I ever get home

I hear a sniper

I see a war everywhere around me

I want a life

I am a Syrian refugee

I pretend I am strong

I feel sad and angry

I touch a big gun

I want my family

I cry for my family

I am a Syrian refugee

I said are we ok to my family

I dream the war would end

I try to be strong

I hope this war would end

I am a Syrian refugee

Hockey

HOCKEY

In primary 7 we have been doing outdoor hockey and it is really fun and competitive.

Some games we play are king of the ring and octopus hockey style and we also do competitive matches.

We get put into teams of colours , red, yellow blue and green. We all like working together and try our best.

Our Netball Team

This week at netball we started off by going outside and practising some different passes then we stood on a line and practised how to shoot. After we did that we went back inside and chose our positions and played some games and everyone was amazing. When it comes to choosing the positions our coach likes to swap us about to see what we are the best at playing. I think the position I think I am the best at playing GA or GS.

Update on Broomland’s House!

This week was a bank holiday so no one won the house point challenge at assembly, however, we are still doing very well and we are still earning lots of house points! The house captains Caden B and Skye M have been round the school and counted up points. We will get a picture of the house captains soon and a picture of the Broomland’s house badge!

We will keep you updated every week so make sure you read our blog next week!

Thanks!

World War 2: Evacuation

This week in Primary 7b we have been learning about evacuation. Children, Older people, People with disabilities, pregnant mums and mums with very young children (under 4)  were evacuated to the country-side. The reason for this is because Germans were expected to bomb cities and factories and docks. School children were evacuated with their teachers then billeted to places like a farm or cottage and even rarely a big house. Children could only bring a small suitcase with things like their Sunday-best, socks, handkerchiefs and school clothes.

Maxwellton got the skills

MAXWELLTON

Last year we won the whole year house competition and we got an activity for winning, we went to the On-X for a bouncy castle and  we played sporty games.

Right lets talk about this year – our house captains are Rebecca G Lewis G . Maxwellton is the green house which means we are the greenest eco house because we are ECO FRIENDLY!!!

This year Maxwellton are doing  McMillian cancer charity because we are the green team and MacMillian colours are green aswell.
