Weekly Update – 22 June 2026

Sharing our Learning

We are now using “Book Creator” to showcase this term’s learning.  Here is the link to class pages: click here.  You will still need to enter your child’s class password to access their page and the link.  We hope you find this engaging and informative and would welcome your feedback here.

Classes for August

We are still waiting for our staffing to be confirmed for August.  We hope to confirm which class and teacher children will have by the end of the week.  Due to falling pupil roll we will have eight classes next session and inevitably there will be staff changes.

Weather

With the impending hot weather please ensure children are bringing a full water bottle daily, and apply sun screen before school.  Sunhats can be worn when outside (please put names on these).  Children should still have a lightweight jacket for rain in their bag too.

World Cup Themed Football Festival- Friday 26 June

As shared earlier this month we will be running a special World Cup Festival, in memory of Charlie Melville, for P1-7 in the sports hall on Friday 26 June. We will also be supporting the “Be More Charlie” charity, established by the Melville family to support families in Scotland affected by childhood cancer.   Everyone can wear a national football top or something in navy/white/ tartan or even  light blue (the charity’s colour).  It will be possible to purchase a Be More Charlie wristband for £3 on the day.  There will also be a small supply of Be More Charlie badges available, which cost £5.

End of term celebration

We will gather at Tayport Parish Church on Friday 3 July for our annual leavers’ celebration.  This is a non-religious gathering.  We request that any P7 parent/carers who wish to attend arrive at the church for 9am.  With such a large P7 year group please can visitors be limited to 2 per pupil in the first instance.  Other visitors should arrive around 9:15am.  Due to the Church’s risk assessment numbers of visitors will be capped and there is no standing behind pews allowed.
