Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing

Our Minds Matter

The emotional wellbeing of our young people matters. It’s normal for young people to face emotional challenges growing up, and their mental health is as important as their general physical health and wellbeing. For more information and links to sources of support, please go to www.fife.gov.uk/ourmindsmatter/

Barnardos

Barnardos offer short-term 1-1 support (for children & parents).  Their aim is early intervention to put strategies in place to support issues like anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation. They’re a self-referral service, so families can refer themselves for 1-1 support, and they also host regular online workshops for parents – details of which are shared through @WellbeingInFife Facebook/Instagram – this includes Decider Skills for parents/carers and monthly workshops on specific topics, the next one being on 27th Feb on supporting anxiety (this will be posted about next week).  Please see the following leaflet for more information: Mental Health & Wellbeing Service Leaflet
