Showbie – sharing your child’s learning – trial

We are excited to begin using Showbie to share one piece of your child’s learning every week.  This learning will link to the planned targets for the term which can be found on the class page on the school website: Click here

You should expect a piece of learning to be shared via Showbie by the end of this week.  Further information to follow.

Calendar Changes

Please note Reading Café 1, which is hosted by the P3-7 Health Hub and Digital Council MAD groups, will run on Monday 5 October (not Tuesday 6 October) from 9:30 – 10:15am.  Children involved will bring home invitations following today’s MAD group meeting.  Digital invitations will also be emailed.

Parent Council

Many thanks to those who have already expressed interest in joining the parent council.  This Friday 9 – 9:45 am we have the HT coffee morning which is another informal opportunity to let us know you would like to get involved.  Following this an email will be sent to all interested parties and a first meeting arranged before the October break. The form to gather interest will close this weekend.  Click here if you still wish to register interest.

Dundee Schoolwear Shop Closure

We have been informed by the store that with immediate effect, the store is closing and they will be dispatching all orders placed for shop collection, via Royal Mail for delivery to home.    They will still offer several ways in which parents can buy school uniform:

Either via their Online website which is open 24/7, with an average delivery time of 10 days  or their new Order Hub which will give parents 30% off RRP by placing orders on the hub.  At the end of each month, they will download a bulk order from the hub which will make producing the items more cost effective.

Laidlaw Music Centre are running a variety of music groups for children of all ages.  There are non auditions and group members get the chance to perform in two concerts a year as well as other projects throughout the terms.  More information can be found here: Primary_Schools_E-flier
