As part of our Transforming Learning journey, we are excited to introduce Showbie for session 2026/27.
This new digital platform will be used in P2-P7 classrooms to support learning, while also helping to keep you informed and involved in your child’s progress, achievements, and next steps on an ongoing basis.
For children in P2-P7, Showbie will be used to create and share a digital portfolio of individual work linked to the targets outlined in the termly Learning Overview. This will allow you to see what your child has been learning and the progress they are making throughout the year.
Teachers will capture photographs or videos of learning completed by your child and upload them to their Showbie portfolio. You will then be able to view this learning on your device and use it as an opportunity to talk with your child about their experiences and achievements at school.
As our P6 and P7 children have access to their own 1:1 devices, they will also use additional features within Showbie to enhance their learning. For example, teachers may share a PowerPoint presentation, worksheet, or other learning resource for pupils to access on their device before completing a related task in their jotter.
We are excited about the opportunities Showbie offers to strengthen engagement with our families and to provide a richer insight into children’s learning. We welcome your feedback as we begin this exciting new chapter.
