P4b have had a fab start to the school year and have now settled well into their routines. We have been working hard to ensure we always show the school values in all we do and have this recognised daily on our class recognition board.

In Numeracy we have been learning about place value and rounding and have used lots of concrete materials and ICT to support us in this. We have really developed our confidence in sequencing and ordering numbers too. We have been writing descriptively in Literacy working on settings and characters and have been working on our prediction skills as well as reading and writing tricky words.

In Health and Wellbeing we have discussed what makes a good friend and have learned about travel safety. We are looking forward to going out into the community to put our learning into action.

In PE we have been working on a range of passes and have put this into action in a game scenario where we have had to work on our teamwork and communication skills as well as following rules. We have also been lucky enough to have some badminton taster sessions.

We have worked on line, colour and pattern in art and also made some fantastic self portraits.
