P3b.2 Baking

This afternoon, P3b.2 made apple crumble using the apples from our school eco garden. We were very lucky to have Lorraine and Wilma help us  and for allowing us to use the kitchen. We started by washing our hands and putting on aprons. Then the children were split into two groups. One group peeled the apples and the other group made the crumble.

We waited 20 minutes for the apple crumble to bake and were delighted to take a portion home to share with our families.

All of the children said they enjoyed their school baking experience! It really was a lot of fun.

Next week, we will write the recipe for our Writing lesson.

P3b.2 are delighted to present their robots. The children worked so well together to create their own group robot. Look for jet packs, batteries and a golden crown in the slideshow.

Robots

P3b.1 were also building robots today after writing about them on  Tuesday. Some of us worked together while a few of us decided to work independently. We were very creative and solved many design problems along the way. We think they look great!

Homework Jotters

A wee reminder if your child has not returned their homework jotter today, can you please send it in on Monday to allow us to update the spelling rules for the next few weeks?

Thank you.

P3b.2 Making Robots

Primary 3 are having a very busy morning! The children have organised themselves in groups and are working together to create a group robot. They are discussing the designs they wrote about last week and making decisions together.

Sumdog

P 3b.1 have been playing sumdog today as we have entered a sumdog competition as part of maths week.

Maths Week

P3b.1 had great fun on a maths scavenger hunt today. We worked in pairs finding examples of numeracy all over the school. Have a look at our pictures to see what we found.

Water Bottles

Poor Mr Connor is becoming increasingly exasperated at the number of water bottle spillages in the cloakroom by P3b.1 dropping their water bottles. There have also been lots of spillages in class with many children having their work spoilt or bags soaked as a result.  Can we politely ask that all water bottles have a ‘sports cap’ with the caps screwed on tightly? Hopefully this will mean a lot less time wasted sourcing a mop and trying to rescue damaged work!

Thank you in anticipation.

Ruaraidh’s Fabulous Achievement

P3b.2 were very impressed when they heard that Ruaraidh was in the newspaper for cycling 45 miles. Well done Ruaraidh. This is a fabulous achievement!
